As soon as they turned the corner just off the airlock, Shepard still trailed closely by Joker, collides with Garrus walking in the opposite direction.

"Shepard! Good! I was looking for you" he said.

To be honest, I really would have loved a "romance" between the two of them, even better, depending on what romance you had previously, he would act differently towards you..
